Just a quick question guys will 215 40 17 go on my oz p1 alloys as they are up for changing i thought i might go bigger.
Thanks Chris. |
Yes no problem. Most people with 17s go for this size as there is a wider choice of tyres available.

Yes they will. You'll have a harsher ride due to the lower profile, but a bit more steering feel. I like the Eagle F1s - awesome wet weather tyres, and much cheaper than S02s.

I've put the Toyo's on my P1, and I'm more than happy with them.
There is little difference in the profile as the 40 is 40 % of a wider tyre. The car feels no more harsh than before, but does tend to tramline a little more. In general I've found the car feels as if it has more grip, but you can occasionally feel a delayed response as the tyre catches up with the wheel. But if you run oversized tyres, it's only to be expected. The only problem I've found is that sorting out the best pressure has been more difficult. Josh |
The difference in profile is 92.25 vs 86mm, about 7%. I found it a noticeable but not massive difference.
