Bloody Pigeon

Merrily driving down the M69 on my way to work today, when wollop, the fattest fcukin pigeon decides to take a low level flight straight into my car.

Stop the car and take a look, nice dent right on the curve of the bonnet and
it's spleen, kidneys, brains etc all over the bloody rad (litterally)

I was sooo pi**ed off, although it's an excuse to get a new bonnet and my
front splitter re-painted.

Anyway, I've chilled now and just thought I would share that with you.

Anyone selling a Silver bonnet for a my94 model WRX

I remember a photo on here where somebody caught a bird in the scoop.......most of it was in the intercooler and the rest was arranged artisticaly over the windscreen.

:thumb: Glad to have put a smile on your face mate; they may only be cars, but they mean a lot to us and it hurts to see them damaged!

All the best with getting it fixed.

A van in front me last week hit a pigeon.
Luckily for him it went over the top of his van and hit my bumper, scratched it all to buggery, no blood though.

Pigeons are stupid. They sit in the road and don't take off until you get close - then fly straight at you!

I've damaged a few cars by hitting pigeons. Lots of them around on spring/summer mornings at 5am on country roads going to work.

Worst I hit was a Pheasant though - 90mph in a Capri on the M40. Straight through the grill and punctured the radiator..........

ScoobyDoo555 29 May 2006 06:57 AM

flying rats. world would be a better place without them imho :)

Hope you get the bonnet sorted soon :)

Agree with the above. A few years ago was driving into work to do some work on a mates car. As I was going up the road there was a pigerat in the middle of the road totally oblivious to my arrival. Gave it a blast of the air horns still no responce, UNLUCKY no time to brake from 40. Result was big plume of feathers from the back of my car. Had a look round car when in work no sign of the bird (used ramps to look underneath).
