Sainsbury's response to Tesco 99 RON
A friend of mine works at Sainsbury's, he's a bit of a petrolhead and has been involved in a new project to do with the filling stations. Now this isn't strictly official yet :Suspiciou but there will be an announcement very soon, basically Sainsbury have seen the response to the Tesco 99 RON and want to get in on the action so they are going to release 100RON unleaded under their Taste the Difference banner.
They reckon that as the Taste the Difference range is all about premium quality that this higher octane fuel fits in with that range perfectly, you get a lot extra product wise for only a small premium in price. Anyway whatever the marketing blurb this can only be good news for all Scoob owners, looks like our cars will soon be able to taste the difference too :D http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/NR/rdonl...ogo_184x74.jpg |
w00t will be great, prolly £1.20 a ltr!
Wonder if Jamie Oliver will be shown filling is VW camper van with it ;) |
Probably get the thick prats round here drinking it if they advertise it under the 'taste the difference' banner.

I wonder if they'll produce a 93 ron petrol under the Be Good to Yourself range, which the missus is very fond of filling the fridge and larder with:( Nick |
dont think I will be tasting the difference, maybe smell?
people are actually addicted to sniffing petrol, quite addictive |

100 RON sounds good to me (no more booster) if it's not too expensive - hopefully they can match the price of Optimax.

Whoop whoop sounds good!!! Just hope the price stays under the the ££!!! :luxhello: :luxhello:

Petrol
BP do a 102ron but that is priced at £2.42 a litre so the sainsbury 100 ron will undoubtably be quite dear

Is it April 1st? LOL.
Petrol sold under a taste the difference range, hmmm, i can really see that happening. I think not. Optimax and that is that, and you all know it too. How many times you gotta see the bloody magazine reviews that test them all before you believe it? You bought a Subaru, stop moaning about the bloody cost ffs. |
I am a manager with JS... Must admit, havnt heard about this.... but will keep my eyes open and do some digging!
