I have the Subaru one and a mate lent me his Thule one,as I didn't know which one i wanted to use.
I went for the Subaru one in the end because I didn't like the way the Thule attached via pads(chance of the paintwork being damaged) and clamping over the rubber seals.
The Subaru one, although a slight pain to fit initially, was really solid with the roof box fitted.
The Subaru is about £40 dearer than a Thule new but I picked mine up,virtually brand new off E-Bay for £65 incl P&P.
Don't know whether it's a recommendation or not but a lot of the Yanks on NASIOC rave about the Subaru version, even to the point of paying over $400 to ship them over from a few Uk dealers who will supply them:eek2:

I went for a thule areo kit on a MY03 and don't think it is a very good set up at all.

Firstly the pads can easily mark the paintwork, secondly the hooks leave marks where they hook on, thirdly its quite easy to put minor dents in the roof and finally if it rains the whole set up makes the most annoying whistle/singing noise at anything over 50.

Not tried the Subaru one (but wish I had now) but wouldn't recomend Thule setup in this instance.

Thanks for your posts, I've already got a Thule, from my last car, and bought the new fixing kit for the scooby, but like you said, i'm not sure about them damageing the black visors above the glass, that it clamps onto. I know what some of you think about roofracks on scoobies:nono: the salesman said the same!! But it looks like you've all cost me £160:cry: for a Subaru one. Thank's again for your posts
