yep ignis sport...i've got one and its not funking ****e!!! ..well ok it is but it depends what you are looking for.

its a 1.5 vvti pushes about 107bhp but only weighs 900 ish kilograms

it has a lot of shove in first and second thats for sure, ive embarassed a few cars which should be a lot faster than mine :lol1:

handling is..interesting, theres a lot of understeer in the wet and the suspension can be a bit roly poly. Saying that when you give it a chance it can be really good to drive.

not massivly quick and its a bit old skool in its approach to corners but its certainly different (yes thats a nice way of calling it ugly  ) but when u consider that you could pick them up brand new for less than 7k its a dam good car

hmmm the punto Gt should of canned it!!!...

Saying that the bhp/ton is 118 Suzuki and 130 for the gt not that much in it!

what kind of speeds was it? anything before 50 it really is quite impressive. 60 is a push for second normally needs third

mozzaITA 23 May 2006 11:29 AM

Not sure if the Gt hits 60 in second, its not my car but iam borrowing it this week i'll try later!! lol

Somebody (down here in the Sunny Southwest) actually bought a flourescent yellow version of one of these as a dedicated track car :). We watched as the proud owner backed it off it's trailer at Coombe; put on his brand new boots, overalls and helmet and fastidiously checked the tyre pressures. Eventually he gets on track and I actually recall exclaiming "sh1t" as he appeared to be toppling over at Quarry :lol1:. Miraculously he got round the circuit but was sadly the slowest car there by about 20 seconds :D. My mate dutifully engaged him in conversation: "Yeah it's cost me about £15k for the car, trailer and kit"; "I am a little disappointed, yeah".

You can enjoy the car in partial glory next door but one from the RA. :D

evo magazine rated it as 3.5/5 about a year ago. can't completely remember the article but the gist was that it was fun in an old school hot hatchy kind of way but ultimately lacked polish*

*a sentence evo has used 362 times in the last month

From memory they were very well aclaimed as a mini sports hatch. They are also used alot in rallying. I would have one as a fun run around.
