Speedball Rally 18th - 22nd August

Dear All,

I know some get upset about people coming on here just to advertise, however, I hope that this appeals to you and some of your members gain benefit from it.

The event is called Speedball, and it is another version of the famous Gumball rally but without the £10-40k entry fees. It is around Europe in much the same way the Gumball is, it is just as hard, just as fun and just as involved and unlike other rallies that exist just in the UK, Speedball gives you the opportunity to drive abroad and this year to drive on a track.

This year the itinerary is as follows:

Day 1: London – Amsterdam
Day 2: Amsterdam – Prague
Day 3: Prague – Nurburgring
Day 4: A day spent at the Nurburgring onto Luxembourg
Day 5: Luxembourg – Welcome party

Entry fee is just £275 and this includes all the stickers for your car, ferry crossings, 2 embroidered shirts, the party, walkie talkies, a welcome pack, route packs and other goodies.

It is the second year the event has run and already we have a huge range of cars entered, from a Bentley, Ferrari, GTOs, Skylines to a BMW – it really is for everyone to get a taste of driving your car like it should be and a good opportunity to publicise your club!

If you enjoy driving, fantastic locations, breathtaking scenery and the idea of an adventure around Europe with like minded people then read on.

The highlights:
An afternoon & evening at the world renowned Nurburgring
Drive the Monte Carlo WRC route through the Maritime Alps
An afternoon & evening in the principality of Monaco
Visit the Emilia Romagna region of Italy - home of the supercar
An evening in the romantic city of Venice
Cross the channel on the high speed 3rd generation catamaran
End of rally presentation, party & prize giving including BBQ & limited free bar
Part of the adventure is that you don't know the day's route until you check out of your hotel. Each morning your team collects an envelope that contains the day's destination plus geographical, cultural and historical information pertinent to the days drive. We don't want to give the game away!

The dates:
Saturday the 8th - Sunday the 16th of July

The rally starts late morning on Saturday the 8th of July in Dover. 8 days later with 3000 miles under your belt the rally finishes at a hotel in the London docklands where there is a presentation, prize giving, BBQ and limited free bar followed by a party. Accommodation is booked for everyone that night as well as breakfast for the morning.

The price:
£345 per person for a car of 2
£330 per person for a car of 4

Please remember that the rally price does not include fuel, meals, tolls, car parking and any other cost incurred. With that in mind it is far cheaper to organise a car of 4 as most costs can be split 4 ways.

What we supply:
8 nights in modern 3/4 star hotels
Return catamaran across the channel
End of rally presentation, party & prize giving including a BBQ & limited free bar
Full English breakfast on the morning after the party
RallyPack including:

Team polo shirt each
RallyTrek lanyard and "pitpass" each
RallyTrek window stickers each
2006 AA European atlas
Driving regulations & information for each country
Geographical, cultural & historical information for each day
If you're interested then please reply ASAP as we're limiting this one to 50 people on a first come first serve basis. A deposit of £100 each is required by Saturday the 27th of May, which is only a fortnight from now. The remainder is due by Saturday the 17th of June, 21 days before the rally starts. Please visit www.rallytrek.com for more details.

If you require any more information then please contact us.

Regards,
The RallyTrek Team

RallyTrek is NOT a race.
Breaking the speed limits is not condoned

Wow that is very good, they must have some good sponsors to offer all that for £700 - accommodation in 3-4 star hotels for 8 nights must be close to a grand alone, let alone crossings, BBQ - seems a bit good to be true!!

You never know Tony - maybe next year - alternatively just dump the family holiday - they'll forgive you in time!
