Lamda sensor plug
 

How do you get the lamda sensor plug apart without trashing it with a pliers?? I trying to remove the downpipe off my 97 uk car and all is dandy. Except I cant get the lamda sensor plug apart. Anyone please!! I'm just about to put it all back together again as without disconnecting this plug I can't complete the job. (I've tried unscrewing the lambda and twisting the lead but its to short and will break).

your lucky i cant find mine :(

There should be ridge and loop that lock together, take a close look at the connector and try and locate this, use a small screw driver to prize the loop from the ridge then pull like a mofo.
