I took my car to a local company in West Yorkshire.

I can't say enough about the quality of his workmanship, several of my friends have also used him for dinks and repairs to there own Impreza's. after seeing the work he did on mine.

The guys premises are near Normanton Wakefield. not too sure if this is too far out of your way ?

I'll Pm you his number and company name just in case, I am a personal friend of this guy so please don't be embarressed to name drop me ;)

We have a mobile guy at work we use that is excellent at paintless dent removal. I can also recommend a great family run bodyshop in the Huddersfield area if you still need one...

;) Thanks, huddersfield is a little further for me tbh, will try micks and any others that sort of area.

thanks though

It's actually in Emley, but I wasn't sure you would know where that was... :)

Rasher 09 May 2006 07:47 AM

where abouts are you located??

girl-in-a-scoob 09 May 2006 08:29 AM

hi rasher, im in york.

Yeah I know where Emley is, Emley tv station mast :)

Blonde by bottle not by brain :lol1:

Just got a few dings and scratches need tidying, mainly courtesy of tescos and the like, where the nice considerate people park right up against me and then struggle to get their fat a*ses out of their pieces of junk!

dan, cant get the baby seat in the pickup and home delivery sucks. Even took up two spaces the other day to make sure I could get the baby seat out of the car and when I came back some d*ckh**d in a french piece of sh1te had parked up against the door, so close I couldnt even get the door open never mind get the car seat back in and luckily for him he came back whilst I was struggling and I enquired if he had misconceptions with regard to the failing size of his manhood to which he asked me if my head was as big as my car !!! ffs, I couldnt get the car seat back in and all the baby places were taken !! If I park in a disabled I get a ticket.... sort of carrying a shotgun, any ideas??

There's a guy called Paul who has a company called Smartech working as part of the Cross Green Car Auctions who does dent removal. If it's only a small job and cash in hand he is normally quite reasonable ;) Minor scratches could be polished out. Maybe consider a full detail by Steve at www.the-detailer.com These two options may work out significantly cheaper than paint work, although I have to conceed that Micks paintshop does a superb job

girl-in-a-scoob 09 May 2006 09:36 AM

thanks for the link

Forgot Pauls number..... 07951 001144

I can highly recommend Steve as CB says, if there are cosmetic marks etc that could be polished out then he is the one to do them.

He has all the equipment, would even measure the thickness of the paint prior to starting work so he knows what he is dealing with.

Maybe a combination of paintless dent removal and a body detail would be your best bet (Probably cheapest too)...

Thanks all (again) I have contacted Steve to ask him to have a walk round the car and see what he advises. Gonna get serviced this week and have a valet so it should be a little smarter then for the weekend :)
