18" Anthracite for 06 STI ?

Hi...

I just got my first Subaru (06 STI PPP) and am VERY pleased with it but want to change the wheels...

Are there any 18" Anthracite PFF7's or P-WRC1's available for the 06 STI or does anyone know what my options would be for 18" Anthracite wheels ?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice :)

Hi - I've just been through this in the last few days, looking for exactly the same thing - there are no 18" anthracite wheels supplied by Subaru (i.e. prodrive) which will fit our 06 Sti.

Major bummer.

Might be worth checking out third party suppliers - wheels probably cheaper that way anyway :-)

Are you sure or do you mean they are out of stock?

Try Iain Litchfield - he had some in last time I called.

Hi - aye, that thread confirms 18's in Gold or Flitter, but no Anthracite.

The Subaru parts list just doesn't have such a beast for the Sti.
Sadly :-(

JIM THEO 08 May 2006 08:21 PM

You are correct but flitter is the closest available colour to your choice thus I posted it!

Martin Walker 08 May 2006 08:27 PM

Cheers Sir - in fact could well be ordering these in Flitter in next 24 hours

Real shame they don't do the Anthracite ones - would be a grand match for Crystal Grey :-)

Thanks for the replys...

I'll probably go with the flitter pff7's myself, they don't look bad at all.

I can't seem to find any Potenza RE070 to fit the 18's though, is this correct ? Which tyres would you guys reccomend ?

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 (Extra Load). 165 each from mytyres.com yesterday.
Costco do them fitted for 176 too.

A seriously under rated tyre - I have some in a 225/45 17 and they have more dry weather grip than the O.E. Bridgestone RE040's and better wet grip than the set of Goodyear F1 GSD3's I had! :eek2:

My local Costco (Manchester) do them for £138 fitted inc vat.... i used the 20% off voucher too to get a very nice price, £110 fitted inc vat.

As Martin says Pilot II is the best road tyre (except road legal slicks) available IMHO!

Marcus763.....have a look for Speedline Turini's in Anthracite....available in 8 x 18 and fitted to one of the Litchfield 06 cars :)
as seen here.....

Subaru also sell Turini's through the dealers, but not the Anthracite ones.
Also, these wheels use the same flow forming manufacturing process as the PFF7's.
