sarasquares 07 May 2006 04:14 PM

Chip Sengravy 07 May 2006 04:17 PM

begone, muppet! this is a serious question . Things are hotting up, and I've got steaks in the freezer that are gagging for some flames :D

sarasquares 07 May 2006 04:19 PM

browno 07 May 2006 04:27 PM

Bought a big one from costco on friday. 3 burners, plus gas ring and very high quality, heavy built stainless (80Kg, without gas bottle!). Cost me £280, and is great!

Lee247 07 May 2006 04:28 PM

£280.00, Chip will have a heart attack

I'm secure enough in my sexuality to not see the need in psuedo cavemanesque shennanigans in the garden in order to cook an alfresco gastronimic delight :)

Any decent suggestions?

and 84...I don't mind spending some quids on something that lasts....just not 280 of them :D

Lee247 07 May 2006 05:10 PM

It's got nothing to do with you being 'out'. Just because you're gay doesn't mean you should feel obliged to cook on gas! ;)

Its got more to do with the great british institution of the BBQ! The lighting ceremony.... the sausage that always falls down the side and gets cremated.... (but it doesn't count if nobody sees and you can rescue it quick enough :D)

Its the stacking of the coals.... the white spirit.... the WOOOMF! :D

Gas is souless.

Cooking on gas is tragic. :(

room for all your mates as well then :thumb:

Richard_P 07 May 2006 06:22 PM

I had a bbq last night, two coal jobs, difficult to light due to too much wind, some lighter fluid sprayed about did the trick.

Note to self : Light bbq before drinking ;)

Started to rain later as well, bloody Scottish weather :D

Ray_li 07 May 2006 06:31 PM

fence and a few bricks. Job done :thumb:

Chip. I'm on my way :D

Ray_li 07 May 2006 06:41 PM

The blank and brown bits on his sausage are not burnt bits :D

browno 07 May 2006 07:18 PM

Sorry for the slight shock there Chip! Maybe a bit above budget, but it is very good though!
Back on topic - B&Q seem to be having a few 20% off garden furniture weekends, which might be worth a go - had cheap (non-stainless) gas barbies in from £60....

Chip Sengravy 07 May 2006 07:38 PM

I would prefer stainless as it would be left out..or rather built into a brick alcove...I'll have a shufty at B&Q, see whats cookin ;)

Lee247 07 May 2006 08:44 PM

What's wrong with Argos
Christ, you try to help folks ;)
