Exclusive pics of the new Impreza P3.

Exclusive pics from the Hemel Hempstead Motor show.

First impressions are :-

1. Its a bit "boxy" but an improvement on recent Subaru design.

2. Prodrive have obviously had a hand in it from the subtle use of logos.

3. Quality of the cabin is a huge improvement.

4. It will obviously appeal to the younger driver.

Maybe you should try for the designers job at Maranello

hedgehog 01 May 2006 01:51 PM

I don't know, I quite like it. What's it like to drive?

white 01 May 2006 02:26 PM

Aerodynamic package looks sound :lol1:

scoobfan 01 May 2006 02:34 PM

Tramps will love it, when their not driving ,they can live in it !!

Rob

hedgehog 01 May 2006 02:51 PM

Several more good points in it's favour then.

Does it have a vent to atmos BOV?

gaz c 01 May 2006 03:09 PM

the spoiler is a nice touch. could do with being a bit lower imo!

other than that a very nice example. :thumb:

hedgehog 01 May 2006 03:43 PM

Ah, that's a spoiler, I thought it was some sort of prehistoric standing stone arrangement. Oh well, another point in its favour then.

The stuff people are buying these days it has to be worth £2.5k on ebay.

Suresh 01 May 2006 04:09 PM

I reckon it would look much better with multi-spoke and darker wheels. The white on white look is pants, sorry. Also the wheels seem to be sitting proud of the bodywork. You didn't check the offset before you fitted them, did you? :o

Suresh

ScoobyDoo555 01 May 2006 04:32 PM

marked improvement over the MY06 :D

Looks like it has a FMIC to me, no need for a scoop I guess.

IFG 01 May 2006 06:46 PM

It's getting PPP and lowered springs soon.

Scoops still in the body shop.

The things you find yourself doing to keep the kids quiet on a rainy bank holiday !!!

Still, if Prodrive want a few tips on aerodynamics before the next rally I'm always available.

Cheers, Ian.

P.S For those who don't get it ..... try the Insurance forum, its probably more to your liking.

Jaydash 04 May 2006 01:37 AM

LOL at the excuse that you "did it for the kids", rather than made it because you thought it might be funny (it wasn't).

Trout 04 May 2006 08:38 AM

I see that at least the bodywork comes from Italy - same design shop as th Alfa SZ perchance?

IFG 04 May 2006 03:45 PM

Jaydash,
if you can imagine that I'd waste 2.5 hours building a car out of Prodrive wheel boxes for no other reason than I could post it on here, rather than be out taking said wheels for a spin, you can't be a Scooby driver.

If your interested I've got a good second hand P3 sitting in my dining room. Only 2 not very careful owners.

Cheers, Ian.

alloy 04 May 2006 03:47 PM

You Suck

:D

MickWrx 04 May 2006 03:54 PM

The prodrive stickers really work on that too. not too sure how it will fair through the water splashes unless its been treated with some sort of ingenius technical anti papermashy coating

Any chance you can take some pics outside maybe on the drive to see what it looks like outdoors

tmo 04 May 2006 04:04 PM

not sure of the colour..... needs some gold wheels.

looks like a mazda

IFG 04 May 2006 04:18 PM

I'll ask the mechanics if they'd like to paint it this weekend.
