A new GT3 game is being worked on now, and apparently may be released in Japan as early as January next year!
Looks like its an addition of some concept cars, with pretty much everything else being the same. Most important car? Impreza WRX Sti Prodrive Style :D Check out the details at: http://www.gamespot.co.uk/stories/news/0,2160,2098030,00.html |
So, all those people who spent 40 quid on GT3 will now have to spend another 40 quid to get this one??
Prodrive STI http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/1004081082.jpg Those clever Japanese, ever pressed for lesuire time have combined golfing with motor racing. Now the stressed Jap exec can thrash around a race track and drive to the golf course without even having to change car. http://secret.lab6.com/uploaded_files/1004081193.jpg |
They did mention that due to it only being a few extras, the price would be much lower...But hey, this is "Rip-off Britain" so you never know.
 |
surely that was obvious since we all bought the A-spec version? as opposed to the "this is likely to be the only" version!
|
They should just sell the cars, surely it wouldn't have been too much trouble to place cars on a CD that could be transfered to Memory card for use in the original game, just as you can drive from someone elses garage. That way third parties could produce exact replicas of your own car... perhaps you can, I don't know.
I should work in Software. |
The beauty of the PS2 architecture is that such disc/memory card add-ons should be possible. :D
A bit like the Need For Speed cars that can be downloaded off the 'net for the PC version. I guess we'll see who starts writing stuff that will actually use that kinda stuff - You may one day soon be able to download a "GT" car off the 'net directly to your PS2 ! (Cough) |
Has anyone implemented USB modem support into PS/2 games or released an Internet browser yet? WOTS, I don't know why someone doesn't create a utility to allow use of a PC as a "file server" for memory card storage, downloading add-ons etc.
IMHO giving PS/2 USB instead of an onboard modem is the best thing Sony could have done. Dean |
Traction control has been adjusted (they are still tuning it) to be less intrusive, and it certainly drives well enough in beta format!! = more over steer, less understeer when TSC is on :)
The new cars are all concepts and new models - so the Honda Dual Note and GT-R Concept appear too (bloody fast - cleans house vs. older Skylines even in hard mode). Evo 7 Rally also shows up. Awesome :D:D:D |
Er, I posted all that yesterday!
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/thread.asp?threadid=51045 Pay ATTENTION! |
Tony Hawk 3 has support for USB ethernet and modems. Released early November over here I believe. You can meet 6 friends and skate with them. Got my name down already.

Has anyone actually completed GT3 ?
I have managed 97% |
