Don't you have to use the special Mask infra red key to activate it (or is that Mask+ http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/confused.gif )
I've got a Kenwood 8080R and there is a little blue infra red thing that sends the code to the head unit. Think it has to be done twice in succession. Other than that, don't know how. I believe you can get another security infra red remote from Kenwood as long as you have the serial number and everything. |
You need the little keyfob thing as has already been described.
If you haven't got it, your unit should have come with a certificate in the box called a "passport" or something like it, which allows you to order another one. I think. What happened to the transmitter? |
On a serious moderation note, if anyone knows how to break the MASK code, <B>DO NOT POST IT HERE!</B>

cheers chaps,
should have said, the head unit was in the car when I bought it, the guy doesn't know what the code is and has given me all bits of paper relating to the car. It's an older model 8060 (I think). Which is about 3-4 years old, just panicking in case the battery goes flat or gets disconected, then I'm musicless!!!!! |
