cant get msn msg 7.5 to work with new router

router is netgear
provider aol.
worked with old router d.link
novice with all things pc

ps.thanx in advance for any help provided

Has UPnP been enabled on your router?

Messenger etc may be blocked as a rule by the router. TCP and UDP configuration aswell may need to be entered.

im using the router software not windows xp
it say in windows xp control panel network connections .windows cannot configure
do i use windows xp or its own config software:confused:
