Need to get some GIANT icons for idiot proof windows use!
 

On my home office network i have tried to set up the pc's with nice clear desktops and icons so each pc can access each other oc very simply (mainly for wife so she can sit at her PC and access stuff on mine without getting confused over which drive she is looking at etc etc.....


to make it easier...can i get BIG icons so on her desk top there can be a BIG icon for her My Docs and another BIG icon for the My Docs on the other pcs all easily labeld etc.

not essential (shes not an idiot) but just thought it may be handy (and for the eldest kid who has just got her first pc in her room)

not tried it, so dunno if its what you're looking for

You could create a folder called "PC upstairs" or whatever, with the drive mappings within it

or just use the desktop for mappings and put progs in the quicklaunch toolbar

Try playing about with the accessibility settings in control panel.

LOL... she can't be that daft she can't acknowledge icons surely? Why not just remove any icon she doesn't need and rename the ones she does?

As for your eldest kid.. don't underestimate them.. they'll be running circles round you soon!

or set your wallpaper to active desktop, create a web type page with a big icon picture on it and hyperlink the shortcut on it.
