gang just tried to rob me at work!!!

feck!!!!

got an error code from the carwash exit, something in the beams, while this was happening a white mondeo full of skanks pulled around the front of the wash, i ran outside and checked through the wash by sight, expecting a paper bag or something flapping about

surprised to see somebody hiding behind a splash screen, shouted at them, ran back in the office and locked the door shut from the inside.

then ran into the pump room and picked up a big ****en hammer, out the pump room into the wash itself and the lad is away, mondeo is away off up the road, and pulls into a layby further ahead, lad walks up to car, not sure if he says something, and carrys on walking knowing i am watching

mondeo waits a few mins and then drives off up the road to the pub carpark where my line of sight ends

this "scam" has been done to my site before i got it, and while the lad ran inside the wash to check, the "others" ran in the front door and took his till

if i had not of been warned about this when i started they would have had my hard earned days takings (approx £500 @ the mo)

police where here within minutes of the phone call and noticed that the mondeo had more people in then i thought (good job i set the cctv up 2 days back  thank god for cheap hongkong DVR cards ! )

2000TLondon 20 April 2006 06:51 PM

which one, there is 3 hammers in there, one per employee :D

there is also lots of other nasty carwash related "big things" in there

Lee247 20 April 2006 07:45 PM

 that's terrible

16vmarc 20 April 2006 07:57 PM

Sound's like you were lucky! And LMAO off at the hammer's! :thumb:

StickyMicky 20 April 2006 08:05 PM

speaking to my mate with the other local wash, he tells me its happend a few times and he once caught somebody trying to get past his security gate

im looking forward to going back into work tomorrow to check the cctv footage of the coppers screeching into the site, starksky and hutch style with the blues and twos in full effect

i was actually suprised that they came so soon tbh, must have been because i told the woman on the fone that i was closeing in 1 hours time

got the usual reference number and an explanation that they will have a look about, TBH i dont think they will come back to this wash, they will just wait a few weeks and try it on with my mates, or the other local sites

bastewards

60metres of coax cable ordered and another 2 cctv cams going online asap (have cams, just no cable at the mo! )

The Zohan 20 April 2006 08:08 PM

Careful Mickey - by preventing them from stealing from you you may infringe their human rights.

Next time let them take what they want and hit yourself with the hammer so there is no risk of them injuring themsleves with it.;)

Glad you are OK BTW!

Scuuby_wrx 20 April 2006 08:10 PM

Good to see you were'nt hurt

StickyMicky 20 April 2006 08:11 PM

StickyMicky 20 April 2006 08:34 PM

just heard off the regional manager that a site 20 miles away had its doors smashed in with a sledgehammer during opening hours and it was robbed

need to set some tomb raider style traps me thinks

also just been given a very good tip on how to stop people running and jumping over the "beams" so they cant hide behind the office door and attack anybody

mickywrx 20 April 2006 09:45 PM

'kin hell Micky.

Glad ya OK and nowt got nicked.

Instead of a hammer, might I suggest a drive shaft, 'that you'd removed from a car cos it was buggered and it just happened to be lying around' The splines on the end might well do some "protecting". :D

StickyMicky 20 April 2006 09:52 PM

ahhh i do actually have a driveshaft from the scoob that i buggerd up with donut abuse a few winters back :D

there is more then enough legit things around the wash to point in an aggressive manner ;) should they be required, there seam to be different things near the different doors for some reason, open the doors and see what prize you will win :D

Scooby.Newbie 20 April 2006 09:57 PM

Glad you ok mate, just goes to show that you can never be to carefull and not let your guard down, well reacted dude.

its like that program "funhouse" except its in the wash and we switch all the brushes on, spray the foam everywhere and hit the *******s with a broken driveshaft :D

mickywrx 20 April 2006 10:47 PM

So that would be "Funwash" then? ;) :D

StickyMicky 20 April 2006 10:48 PM

need some slightly ropey, but you still would, blonde twins to help host it :D

Scooby.Newbie 20 April 2006 11:05 PM

My car needs a wash :norty:

Scooby Soon! 21 April 2006 12:35 AM

Cant you use a "garage safe"? you have a small hole going in to the floor with a hole (about 1inch across) that you can drop money into which is a locked safe, then only keep a minimum £65 float in the till.

Should cost less than £200 to do it.

mad_dr 21 April 2006 08:36 AM

You could always help them 'clean up their act' with a good close range blast in the face with a pressure washer?

sti-04!! 21 April 2006 10:01 AM

Glad everything is ok. Fcukin Scumbags.
