Temporary speed cam..

On M62 netted over £1 million quid in 18 months..Just 1 camera!!!

Where is all this extra revenue going? With road tax costs escalating and all this extra speed cam money in the coffers, surely we should be able to see a difference somewhere?

Or is it just funding more cams and sniper vans(and wages for the people sat in the back of them!!!) ???

Yeah, some doctors wages increased by 25%

Apparently scammera's all over the UK earnt the treasury £130million last year - but hey its not about raising money, theyre there for our safety :Whatever_

But none of these 'speeders' were involved in accidents, so they weren't driving unsafely. So how can a 'SAFETY' camera be used to enforce its prime purpose ?

I've been through this camera a few times over recent years. The cameras on both sides of the road are pretty obvious so anyone getting caught can't be the sharpest knife in the box.

I tend to be very particular about m/way roadworks speed limits because there are real hazards about and a high probability of a camera.

I find the cruise control in m'way roadworks keeps me out of trouble ...

As for where the money goes, yep, some to Gordon so he can recruit more into the public services to mop up the unemployed (though that one is starting to unravel - note latest increased jobless figures) and some to the local *safety camera* partnership so they can get more scameras ....

Billy's missus has spent a quarter of that on refurbishing their accomodation as her whims dictate!
