Rear Strut Brace?

Maybe i should of read the other thread regarding the apparent lack of benefits of fitting a rear strut brace. but hey, i've bought one anyway.

i've only had a quick look in the boot. but can anyone shed some light on how you actually get to the top of the suspension mounts! i'm sure i was just being a bit dupid:confused:

you will have to take rear seat out to access the strut tops:)

I fitted one last week, remove the rear seat (only 6 bolts) and it's as straight forward as doing a front one, if not easier.

I was just as baffled as you until I did a search for how to remove the rear seat, any probs let me know

I'm sure I've read somwhere that you should have the car jacked up to put a strut brace on so that there is no load on the suspension. Don't know how true this is though.:wonder:

Nope!
As you need to remove the nuts on the top mount, you need it on the ground with the weight on the wheels to hold the strut in place.
Then bolt the ends of the brace down and adjust the length (if possible) to take up any movement. Do not force the strut tops apart though!!
