Graham Goode conversions
Hi,
Fairly new to Scoobynet, just had my '02' WRX Sportswagon modified by Graham Goode with the following mods: ECU remap Hi-flow fuel pump 3" GG exhaust with high flow Cat Replacement turbo down Pipe (did'nt realise the original had a Cat inside?) GG conical filter They appear to spend a great deal of time re-mapping on the road rather than the rollong road, which seems to be sensible as it sets the car up for road use. Have only just got the car back, and it certainly has made a big difference. The power band appears to start at about 2,600 RPM and seems to be smooth all the way to 7,000. They recommend not exceeding 6,000 to proplong the life of the engine (time will tell??). The initial aim was to have a car that breaths well, but not noisy/boomy in the cruise. The exhaust is OK in the cruise, a bit noisier than hoped for, but hopefully this will die down with use. The intake mod does means living with the usual induction noise (not to intrusive) but you cerainly can hear the wastgate dumping the pressure. Will keep you posted on how it works out and any problems?? Has anyone else used Graham Goode? Martin |
