It's not that bad once you get going :) If you want advice or photos just ask and I can show you how I did mine :) Take a look at this http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=499326

I know that Len at Subaru4You has fitted a few of these and he's a top bloke, i.e, he won't rip you off.

hiya guys thanks for all the replys!! when you fit the intercooler do you need to drill some holes in the top support beam as the holes on the top of the intercooler dont line up with anything, if that makes sense and ive just emailed subaru4u any ideas on a price anyone?

Paulo P 02 April 2006 06:45 PM

The top of the intercooler bolts to the bumper bar. I have full photos of what I did on mine and it isn't too much different.

dont want to sound to thick, but do you have to drill two new holes in the bumper bar?

scooby-tc 03 April 2006 07:51 AM

yes you do

You have to make a few new holes in the car ;)

Paulo P 03 April 2006 09:47 AM

You can see the new holes here in this picture. I marked them out using marker pen as you can see and drilled them.

i assumed the intercooler would bolt to the bumper bar using the origianl holes!! how about supporting the underneath, as i have the brackets but do i need to drill 2 more holes for this?

Paulo P 03 April 2006 07:51 PM

Seriously read the thread above then ask away ;) Everything is there.

thanks for your help im going to try anbother go on the bank holiday weekend at least if i get stuck i will have ab extra day!!

SamUK 05 April 2006 09:39 AM

It maybe worth investing in an angle grinder...as everything in the way will have to be cut for the pipework to pass....

good luck.

I took 2 weeks to do mine but I was quite anal with my attention to detail :o At least the Impreza front bumper is bigger than mine :D Drop me a pm if you get stuck and I'll do my best to provide hints and photos.

I'll second that about the grinder.

lee-swindon 05 April 2006 06:10 PM
