I've gone and done it and purchased a P1. I'm now on my 3rd scooby and a confirmed nutter.

Just a quick thanks to those who have answered my questions and helped make up my mind. Including the Bristol crowd from the Exmoor run and especially SteveB for his helpful advice and info.

Off to pick it up next weekend and handover the keys to my MY00 which I traded. Can't wait.

Car is 6month old Y plate with prodrive exhaust and 7k.
Cost just over £26k and a reasonable p/ex against my MY00.

Is that Bobs old car ? Are you getting it from Tileys ?

Cheers Phill C

wilf 22 October 2001 10:53 AM

Babber,

No although I did look at that one. I bought mine from Listers.

MartinM 22 October 2001 01:23 PM

Ah...that'll be why you got a good deal then ;)

I'm dead glad I got mine, and I know its water under the bridge and all that, but I'm less happy with the deal I got by the day.

Never mind...I'll wave like mad when I see you, and perhaps we can stop and have a chat

CYA, Martin

Thanks for all the positive feedback.

MartinM - will look out for you. Perhaps the next Bristol meet if I dont catch you before.

Should have bought mine from SGT mate as they only gave me **** money for it you could have stolen it back from them.

wilf 22 October 2001 03:23 PM

Aaron,

Would have considered it but I had my car to get rid of and didnt fancy all the timewasters and testpilots.

Am I right that you swapped for an M3?

Dave.T 22 October 2001 04:30 PM

Wilf,

Enjoy it,you will not regret it.I got mine last week also from Listers and have not stopped grinning since.Hope you got a good deal,i also traded my MY00 turbo in would have liked a bit more but never mind thats history now.Mines on an X plate done 3,300 miles, scoobysport downpipe & Prodrive back box and sounds the biz.
I could not fault Listers superb service from start to finish.Enjoy!

ARRON BIRD 22 October 2001 04:31 PM

Wilf they would have taken your car in mate they are a main dealer

Gordo 22 October 2001 05:19 PM

Enjoy! you won't regret it, I'm still grinning several months into mine. The only advice I'd give is to beware kerbs - my front lip is right royally shafted - the bloody front skirt is easy to forget when you're not used to it.....

have fun!
Gordo

If the first 3 numbers are 136 and it is not a local by the rest of the reg, it is my old car as it went to Listers.

Until you know you will never know, but when you know you will know.

SteveB 22 October 2001 09:38 PM

Rich,

Well done - Enjoy !!

Mines got Leda and that lowers the car slightly so have to be extra careful of the front. I now reverse into parking spaces just to be sure. And well out of the wat of other cars in the supermarket carpark.
Use Zymol regularly to keep the shine.

Steve.
