Classic Electric aerial broken
Anyone any idea how to remove this damn thing? Got inside the panel to the motor and removed the 2 screws but wont budge from there. I assume i need to undo what looks like some kind of nut on the out side of the car? It is round the aerial and looks a washed but with 2 notches out of it. I have tried everything from monkey wrench to hammer and chisel and cant shift it. Cant find anything that releases it on the inside either HELP!!!! Also the problem is i can hear the motor operating but the aerial just wont move, i have cleaned it etc, i assume it is belt driven and maybe i can fix the existing unit or even someone has a replacement?? Thanks in advance. Dave

hmm thinking about it mine doesnt work either, not that my jap spec radio would pick up any english stations :freak3:
I cant hear the motor working on mine, I havent checked if theres any loose connections yet though |
You can get something which goes in line to change the bands of your aerial, think they are called in some places bandxpanders. Or just buy a uk radio, should work fine. Thanks for the reply anyway

set of grips, and use a cloth to protect the paint around it. have a double check on the inside just to make sure there is nothing else stopping it.
