Light Sabres

Do they have an on/off switch or is it dependant on the jedi using his/her force powers? i.e can a non-jedi use one?

Answer to your first question yes

Answer to your second question no. As Han Solo used lukes light sabre to cut open the Tauntaun in 'The Empire Strikes Back'.

is his name 'Luke'??

J4CKO 26 March 2006 07:33 PM

They dont work if left out in the rain as my six year old found out today with his.

Wonder if Luke Skywalker ever goes into a sulk and demands to be driven to Toys r Us to source a replacement ?

No his Jedi mind tricks did not work and he did not appreciate my comments

'Hmm, Young Jedi left his weapon in the rain he did'

'Work it did not'

Normally he finds my Yoda impression funny ?

I'd like to know how they have a finite length and an infinitely variable focal point! :Suspiciou

J4CKO 26 March 2006 07:45 PM

Well they are made of telescopic plastic, there is a bulb in one end that shines and kind of illuminates the plastic a bit, go to Argos I am sure they will demo one for you.

since general grevious wasn't a jedi and used light sabers, then the answer is yes.

Can you injure yourself with your own light Sabre ?

I best not have one as my fingers end up in ribbons when I get a new penknife.

Yes, I've got a scar from mine (not to self, messing with light sabre when drunk is not a good idea).

Mine's not a very posh one cos it doesn't light up :(

Johnny E 26 March 2006 10:27 PM

Not too bad.....................still bet I could beat both of 'em though, with one hand behind my back and blindfolded.

because the force is strong within me ;)

If you get it caught in your zipper, yes! :lol1:

I'm not a big star wars fan, but I have to say that video was superb; better than many of the duels I've seen in the actual star wars films! The quality of the sound and FX was brilliant too. :luxhello:

I wouldn't say that it was better... But it just goes to show what a humble PC/MAC withthe right software can do. You should see th other fan films available. I still think 'Troops' is a classic.
