After the great turn-out at the first meet and the enthusiasm shown by most to make this a regular event i thought i would start the ball rolling again.

First a date - Sunday 11th November

Venue - Karting at Wroughton, cost will depend on numbers, so if your interested post here.

Hi Simon,
Couldn't make it last time due to work, hopefully I'll be able to make this one. Karting sounds like a good laugh, haven't they just got some new faster karts in there?

Mark

for Formula 30 - 5 minutes practice then 30 laps, winner gets a medal.

if your coming post on here.

Nick B 24 October 2001 03:53 PM

Count me in - can we bring others along as well? :D :D :D
What is the approx cost per head?

Sorry I couldn't make the first meet. I organised the Manor Farm meeting earlier in the year and we had a great turnout so its good to see this becoming a regular thing.

mr flibble 24 October 2001 05:13 PM

Hi all,

PCB as 'newcomers' myself and my mate would like to join you on the 18th.

Cheers

M.

PSI3 24 October 2001 06:13 PM

To answer some questions -
cost is £30 each for the Formula 30 as desribed above

As long as we have the number of people participating then none scoobie drivers shouldn't be a problem unless anyone else has any opinions on this ??

15 carts can be on the track at once, so we may have to run 2 sessions, again the sooner people confirm the easier this will be to organise.

PSI3 25 October 2001 10:14 AM

CHANGE OF DATE FOR KARTING - NOW Sunday 11th November at 11.30 other details same as before.

sorry my cock-up

Please confirm all those who are coming

simon

SteveB 25 October 2001 10:18 PM

Simon,

Could this be " great minds think alike" ? as we keep booking events on the same weekend. The CM1 was on the same weekend as Exmoor VII and now the CM2 is on the same weekend as the Police training in Bristol.

Next time I plan a meet i'll e-mail you first just to make sure you aren't planning anything. Maybe you could do the same ? Hopefully then I can come along to CM3.

Thanks

Steve.

Gizmo555 28 October 2001 09:45 AM

Hi Simon

I was thinking the same as Steve. Some of SW crowd would probably come to karting if no clash of dates & especially cause it's indoors and dry.

CW meet 3 then ?

Cheers

Mark

DT 28 October 2001 07:43 PM

New date - still ok by me.

Tracey 29 October 2001 07:06 PM

This sounds good, but we too will be at the SW meet, police thingy.

Maybe next time.

Cheers

Tracey and Paul

polarbearit 29 October 2001 10:24 PM

Matt Churchill 30 October 2001 09:18 AM

Sorry Simon, can't make this one, and seeing the way you and Gobbo drive, I don't think I'd want to go on a track with the pair of you ;);)

As an aside how is the PPP coming along any more developments?

Matt

DT 30 October 2001 10:14 AM

Simon, do you need any more? Might be able top get a couple of mates along. Don't know how many Karts they will allow for one 30m race. Bit of a pile-up looming in the first corner I suspect!!! :)

Steve3drRS 30 October 2001 02:45 PM

If you dont mind, i will pop down- cant be arsed wit karting but ill b there jus2 say hi, i got a 3dr cossie 450odd bhp wit anti-lag- u will like the anti-lag (just keep about 5m from exhaust unless u wana get burnt, n lil uns tend to cry cuz of the bangs, so i hope theres no kids about)

am i allowed? (tho its not like i wudnt turn up anyway even if u sed no, just to waste some scoobies....lol....)

PSI3 30 October 2001 04:46 PM

To confirm a couple of things -
Karts we wil be using are LPG 9hp 4 strokes.
A maximum of 15 on track at a time, but we will probably run 2 heats of 13 (leaving 2 spare karts to allow for breakdowns) so a maximum of 26 people will be able to drive.
So far around 18 people have confirmed so there are still a few places left.
We have enough time allocated to us to run one heat after the other.

simon.

HAPPY 31 October 2001 07:50 PM

i'm bringing one of my customers( who has a scooby ) and a mate
