MY00 MAF max volts?

Can someone tell me what the voltage output range is on the air flow sensor, I'm getting just below 5v under load and want to know if this is about right or seems low ( knock sensor working overtime! ).

What ECU you are using? The stock ecu caps the airflow at 300g/s which equates to around 4.6 volts from memory. If you are using a powerFC you can you up to 5v, but you will need the map the ECU properly nonetheless.

The car has a full PPP plus a 3ins downpipe. It was running fine but now it hesitates under heavy boost. The ECU is giving knock correction of -7 degrees. I removed all the small bore piping related to the boost control today and flushed it out with petrol and did the same with the boost control solenoid, but this seems to have made no difference.

On the standard inlet tract with PPP & downpipe, I'm sure mine was running more like 4.2V. MAFs tend to under-read when they fail though, but I suppose they can do all sorts of things.

Going beyond 4.64V will not make it any richer as the calibration table has the airflow maxxed out by then as Paul says. Again, on a standard inlet, IIRC, it was VF23 sort of territory to get there.
