Don't forget Mothers day!

Just been out and bought nice big bouquet of flowers for the old dear. Having her round for dinner tomorrow as well where she'll be treated to a nice bit of well hung welsh black rib of beef.

What more could a mother ask for from a son I ask:)

Chip

Mind you I also forget fathers day too for the same reason. Least I can't (as an only child) be classed of favoritism :D

Fuzz 25 March 2006 08:56 PM

Well last Monday I ordered a gift box of two rather nice bottles of wine and a few tools to cut the seal. pull the cork and all that malarky.

Today I wrote a ****ty letter to that company and cancelled the order as it hasn't turned up in time and I'm in for a bollocking tomorrow. :(

Andy

Jaydee5 25 March 2006 09:04 PM

I know how you feel :( The rather special flowers I wanted can't be delivered til Tuesday  What's the point of that :(

Ended up with a card and cash....not the bestest way to tell my Mum I love her

Nope, to me its over commercialised crud.

If I want to get mum something, I will, I don't need some card company telling me when. Doesn't mean I don't think any less of her

And to use an argument statement from my childhood. I didn't ask to be born. If I want to do something for I will, in my own time and way.

Just wait 'til you don't have one or the other of your parents, then you'll remember their day every year.
I don't have my Dad any longer, infact for the past 18 years. Father's day is a sad old day for me.

I always make sure to get my mum something to show that I appreciate her for all the things she does etc. Its just a money making scheme but at the end of the day when you give your mother a nice present it will make her happy and thats all that matters.

Got my mum a box of chocolates, and got a mini Tesco herb garden set and a box of chocs for the missus from my 2 year old son. Then I sat down and made cards with him with glue and sticky shapes for his mum and his nan. :)

God I'm a fantastic son/hubby/father! :notworthy
