intercooler spray

Just fitted an sti intercooler and scoop. The undertray has the water spray nossle on it.
How hard would it be to fit an ic spray?
What parts do i need and where do they go? ie is it easy to fit an original sti one?
does the wiring loom on an 03 wrx already have the wiring for the spray? how does it work when on auto?

The WRX doesn't have the IC spray loom, but its easy enough to make your own.
Follow the wiring layout for the US STi and you can't go wrong.

The STi Uk IC system has a water bottle & motor in the drivers side of the boot. It is a manual system only and made up of the dash trigger button that fires a 3 sec timer relay to power the spray motor.
The STi JDM has a bottle in the engine bay on the passenger side bulkhead. It is both manual and auto.

The STi bottle is easier to install and needs less wiring & water hose and is probably the only option for a wagon.
Here's a piccy of all the bits you need:

You could also make a cheaper system using non Subaru parts. The bits shown above probably cost about £130.

would this be worth it on a top mount intercooler?

just on a standard car as a 'precaution' for those hotdays stuck in traffic after a good b road blast? :)
