Light weight pulleys

Has anyone bought pulleys from this company??

http://www.cdfracing.co.uk

Seem to be quite cheap.

Is it better to have smaller that the original pulleys
And I am assuming they are balanced as it does not say.

Thanks
Scott

looks promising :)

would like to hear from someone who has bought the pulleys . .

a bit weird that all the models suitable for the pulleys seem to be US models. Perhaps they are importing and selling for profit.....

lol.. what do you expect them to do? import and sell for loss?

Roojai 24 March 2006 11:16 AM

yeah, I suppose that was a dumb comment...just that its a uk site and gives the impression of local production...

Made out of H30, which without going stupidly expensive is one of the strongest alloys around.

Should not need to be balanced really, not noticed any balance holes or fettling on any othr manufacturers pulleys. Small diameter, light wieght, relatively low RPM means no balancing needed.

I quite fancy the crank pulley, which us model is the same as a my00 uk turbo?

Shame they don't do the power steering pulley as well.

True but by the sounds of it, you send them one and they will copy it for you.

Dyney 24 March 2006 07:37 PM

It's HE30 ;) Same as I have the brake brackets made from :D

For those that haven't realised they only supply the crank and alt pulleys!!
If you have a classic the kits from other suppliers will most likey include the PS pulley too!! :)
Still cheap for the 2 though :)

scoootie5 24 March 2006 09:13 PM

Sounds promising then.

He is also selling them on ebay and says they fit 93-05 models.

Are all the Crank and Alt pulleys the same throughout the MY??

Thanks
Scott

I have ordered a set of crank and alt pulleys and will be fitting this weekend.
It is to fit my JDM MY94 WRXRA

Will let you know how it goes.

Have also spoken to the guy and says he will be selling the powersteering and cam pulleys soon.

Scott ;)

Right, I have now fitted these and had no problems at all.
Went straight on and I did notice there is quite a bit of weight difference between the two.

Don't know if they have improved the performance but they certainly look good. And are well made.

A Good buy IMO.

Cheers
Scott ;)

what is the difference between these and the ones that are on ebay?

cdfracing 06 April 2006 07:07 PM

Hi guys,

Just having a look round the forums and i found my comany name cdfracing on here,

If anyone has any questions on the pulleys we make please ask,

I think its scoootie5 that has brought the crank and alternator of us and i have just uploaded his photos he sent us, we do make the powersteering pulley but at the moment we require a exchange as we wont have the tool to do the bore until May ,
