No back cat. will my classic still pass mot?

if i change my rear cat to a straight through (no cat) pipe will it still pass on emissions or will i have to swap it. i have a 2000 plate impreza turbo by the way

p1mark 23 March 2006 06:18 PM

yes, as long as you still have o.e downpipe in place.

Rather - it *should* pass:)

Gillp95 23 March 2006 06:22 PM

As above :iamwithst if you keep the front downpipe cat on the car..it "should" pass

steve1192 23 March 2006 06:22 PM

ok thanks. anyone had it pass with just a back cat missing

roscow 23 March 2006 06:45 PM

My MY99 sailed its MOT earlier today and its only got the cat in the downpipe, no probs what so ever !!!!!!

steve1192 23 March 2006 08:07 PM

nice one will save me time when it comes to mot time. but i got a magnex

6x4 back box on it so im going to change back to original when i go to

nurburgring thanks to their noise limit on the track.
