Does anyone on here live or have experience of nightlife in southend. Does it have a good nightlife??

I'm currently getting info for a forthcoming friday/saturday stag party and southend end fits the bill reasonably well. ie. Less than 3hrs away from kent and by the sea!

If so, does anyone have any advice of good pubs/clubs/hotels/safe parking etc.

Cheers for any info

I am reliably told the only club to go to is TOTS 2000...

Its sarfend for christ sake.

Sea front is boy racer city, 3 speed cameras from memory, plenty of pubs on the front, plenty of slappers about if thats you thing.

Tots mmmmmmm OK ish slapper city again

I suggest you go down on a friday or saturday night before hand just to check it out

Nito,

Safe parking??? Ho ho ho. For a demon wagon like yours? Chortle chortle chortle.
I'm about 3 miles from Southend. TOTS 2000 is definitely the most high-profile club,
but it depends what you want. White stilettos and cold beer - in you go.
Otherwise there are two other clubs either side of TOTS which you might like the look of.
Zero's nightclub, near the airport, has an over 28's night on friday.
Loads of good pubs - on the seafront if you want a good fight, or there's Yates' near the cinema, or the Last Post halfway down the high street which are better than most. TGIF's if you want somewhere to pose.
But leave the Scooby at home mate...

My local town. wouldn't go there for a stag do unless you're really on a budget.

Newcastle or Blackpool would be my first choice.

I still venture to my old town on an infrequent basis, but from last visit... Yates at the top of the high street was Ok until the DJ turned up the volume on his 'drum n base' collection, crumpet rating was fairly high and you can drop peanuts on people from the top floor if you're bored. Last Post is usually busy from about 7 right through to closing, crumpet rating varies but girlies appeared a bit younger than average http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif You could also go to The Bakers Bar at the bottom of the high street, open until 2am from memory ( I was p155ed) but they do charge to get in after 10pm. On a Saturday you can hit the saefront at 10am and get a pint and then go to The Foresters near the Kursal for more beer and lunchtime strippers, some I'm told http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif you'll also get a decent scrap if anyone's up for it http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

As Lee says go to Blackpool
