I have an offer of a job in Dubai - Hurrah!

Can anyone tell me their experiences of renting property in Dubai, not holiday lets but short/long term rentals.

Any agents details would be much appreciated.

Also any experiences of living in Dubai, cost of living and stuff.

This is a permenant move (well as perment as anything ever is) so i do not expect a property is part of the deal. I am waiting for the formal offer in writing before the company flies me and Jenny out:) to look around so i am doing as much homework as i can.

I have looked at several websites but most of the property is for holiday type lets
