I currently have an HKS closed neck downpipe on my 94 sti, iv been told i would benifit more power wise from an open neck type downpipe, is this right ?

also as my HKS is closed neck what happens to the wastegate gases? when comparing pics of open neck and closed neck designs it looks as though the flange plate on the closed neck covers the wastegate outlet hole on the turbo??
