Is it a turbo ?

lightwave693 04 March 2006 05:59 PM

its non turbo, non vvc, so about 120bhp going by rover figures. ive driven it a few times and its so slow, but i am a scooby owner :)

1.8 auto? What did he expect? The best way is to sell it and buy one with a proper engine

lightwave693 04 March 2006 06:02 PM

love ur reply topbanana, i told him to get the 2.5 but nooooooo daddy knows best lol and now he wants more go go. so how can it be done?

eldudereno 04 March 2006 06:05 PM

strap some rockets to the roof :norty:

seriously though, you won't be able to squeeze much more power from that engine

struv 04 March 2006 06:13 PM

just get shot before the head gasket goes (and that goes for the v6 as well)

Dont waste your time and money doing it.

Better to have a Jag based on the highly rated Mondeo chassis (X Type) than have a Jag based on the Ford Lincoln (S Type) ;)

to add.....

I used to own a 2.5V6 75 Auto and even that felt slow, the box likes to keep the revs low and the KV6 has little torque below 3500rpm so any performance required kickdown.

The 2.0CDTi Auto may be the best bet if he want's to stay with the 75.

Cheers

kv6 in 75's dont blow head gaskets,at least not in any more numbers than any other manufacturer, the older version in the 800 was a lil prone to failure but not these. The kv6 just suffers bad mouthing by association from the k4.

My dad has the ZT 190, quickish but he still wouldnt mind it quicker, my uncle has the v8, thats fairly fast but not ballistic.

120 bhp, auto, 1.5 tonnes, hmm

drove a bmw 316 auto once, useless
