sti wagon spoilers *painted and delivered*

is anyone interested in a group buy on the top sti spoiler for the classic wagon, painted and delivered for under £200, I can get a firm price once I have numbers, but they are painted in subaru colours to a very high quality and a great finish, they are like for like replicas so they are a direct replacement so no messing about.

these can be posted abroad but there will be an extra cost.

if your interested leave your name below

Are these stick on or direct bolt on ?
Any pics ?

Jamo 02 March 2006 09:57 AM

there direct replacement using existing brackets (although he did recommend I buy new brackets from subaru if they were rusty, but there very cheap)

no pics as yet, but they look like the real thing, I wouldnt be buying one if they were not :)

are they not doing waist spoilers ?

Jamo 02 March 2006 06:23 PM

I could ask. I thought you had just bought one?

borat52 02 March 2006 06:27 PM

100% in for one painted if they can be guaranteed to be direct replacement, would like to get one asap - money ready at £200 or less.

i already have bought mine off a guy in japan but was curious.

I asked him about a group buy but he didnt seem to understand what i was saying to him but he is selling many of them on ebay. Work out to 114 GBP including shipping

Jamo 03 March 2006 03:11 PM

bttt :)

lordharding 04 March 2006 07:32 PM

Are these the DR motorsport one ?

How will they fit on ?

Jamo 05 March 2006 03:14 PM

I had hoped they were however after 7 phone calls he dosent seem to answer  its a shame as I was told he was very good and seemed up for a group buy. I will keep trying though.

he says they are a direct replacement along with a fixing glue that he supplies, I like the idea of like for like replacement with no gaps and especially no messing.

fixing glue? meaning they dont bolt on

if thats the case, forget about them, they are waste of money.

If you do, get the ones that bolt on,

Jamo 05 March 2006 10:10 PM

no they do bolt on, he says that he adds the bonding stuff as the spoiler has extra weight.

Right guys, as some of you have been asking me about the quality of the waist spoiler ive purchased which has just arrived from Hong Kong yesterday and delivered to me by Parcel Force today.

It cost me £114 including shipping to the UK but didnt know about duty so had to pay £25.86 which was the VAT+ Handling Charge.

Even then although I was dissapointed at first due to duty paid, when the spoiler arrived I had a massive smile on my face. Excellent quality, very nicely finished.

So thats £139.86 all inclusive for a very good quality spoiler with no ripples in it at all. The size and shape is exactly like the original item.

It comes with the bolts btw.

Gillp95 08 March 2006 02:29 PM

Nice one buddy.
Is it from japanparts ?

i dont know if it is Japanparts matey, but the dude is called JDMParts so i guess we may be talking about the same guys.

The good thing is the very quick shipping. considering the items are from Hong Kong, they have come very quick.

So all in all, the 25 quid plus for duty was well worth it considering the quality finish

stevey 08 March 2006 04:24 PM

kilo where abouts are you wouldnt mind having a look if thats ok

Jamo 08 March 2006 04:25 PM

is that for the lower spoiler? is it larger than the standard item? have you been quote to spray it yet?

Jamo 08 March 2006 04:30 PM

ok this is the spoiler that he offers.

I have got hold of him today and he has promised me a call back in the next day or so...

ile let you know what he says when he comes back to me.

Hi Stevey, im in Bradford matey and you can come see it when you want

Shaggy, i dont need it quoting since im getting a whole tailgate painted and the spoiler is included and btw it is the lower waist spoiler.

The reason i can vouch for the quality compared to an original item is that I have a version 5 sti wagon and my previous spoiler broke off in a bump. Likewise I have the two to compare ;)

Hope that helps

cheers

ScoobywagonGl 08 March 2006 05:15 PM

Shaggy, any ideas how to fit top spoiler it there isn't an existing one?
cheers Tams

kilo_4que 08 March 2006 05:27 PM

as far as i know they are bolted onto the windows

If thats the case, the best thing would be to get a back screen from breakers with holes already in place

ScoobywagonGl 08 March 2006 06:37 PM

hmmm, might be worth me just taking scoobyclinics advice and buying theirs :thumb: cheers guys ...

buying their what. Spoiler?

Cos if there is an alternative way to fit the spoiler, it would be using sealant glue stuff which isnt very good since a few people have had the experiences of them falling off with even the slightest of pressure

Just my advice though ;)

No mate its a complete turbo tailgate. GL's don't have any extras on them  sealant would be a no go for me as I am terrible for grabbing the first thing i get in contact with to shut boot/door etc :)
