Insurance without a tracker

I am in the process of looking for another Scooby and would like to find an insurance company who doesn't insist on a tracker. Can anyone reccormend someone who does this but won't charge the earth for it.

Cheers
Martin

hi im 21 and just got my impreza turbo the first few companys wouldnt touch me but i went on www.autotrader.co.uk and on insurance and it searches loads of companys and compares prices at the end.

OK mate thanks I will give that a go. Anyone else?

steve1192 27 February 2006 05:41 PM

alright got my insurance about 5 months ago im 24 and it was with HYPERFORMANCE

martin850 27 February 2006 05:51 PM

Autotrader worked but the cheapest I got was £1500 and that is on a uk turbo with full no claims. I will give a plan and hyperformance a try, but at this rate I will have to bit the bullet and get a tracker.

Thanks guys keep them coming

Get in touch with Gary Moulson at Keith Michels plc, Ive just insured through him, and he can find good rates without tracker.
His number is somewhere on the threads below, hes also a fellow scooby owner and poster on this board.

Deano.

Just had a quote myself this morning off A-plan, didnt even ask me if i had a tracker and when i asked her if having one would reduce my premium was told it would`nt, also the best quote I`ve had by far, give them a ring on

Aplan have been fantastic. £499 fully comp on a 97UK turbo wagon at 27 Full NCB and a GLASGOW postcode. 6k miles. Delighted

He means Bell Direct. A-Plan, Keith Michaels or Greenlight should be competitive.

I've had them recommended to me too. Im with direct line just now. the weird thing is, that they arent insisting on my STi having a tracker (even though it does), but they did insist on my old WRX having one!! I also got a quote from them for a P1 and they didnt ask for a tracker on that! Weird.:wonder:

F1 CJE UK 02 March 2006 07:03 PM

soz yep i did mean bell.co.uk

They have insured me , 23 on a new WRX with no tracker and only 4 years NCD for 1,000

That’s 1,500 cheaper than any other
