SMACS Guys in the Stockport Area
I heard today off a friend that 3 masked men force a guy to hand over his keys to his Pride and Joy Impreza..
Now this happen around the Hazel Grove area..not sure if it was last night or this Morning... but apparantly it made the local news.. So guys be careful when out and about.... |
No worries mate I have trusty old Billy behind my passeger seat ;)
|
Same happened to the guy at from Sainsburys petrol station he had a Focus ST.It was taken from his drive in Bramhall as he was getting out of his car. He said to me that he thinks he was followed home.
Small tip--- if you have a disc lock keep the keys to it separate from your car keys (may be on your house keys.) If you are approched for the keys and the disk lock is on and they have your car keys they won't get very far, or if your car keys are stolen its a bit more of a pain to steal the car if the disklock is on and no key for it!! |
Nice Tip..:thumb:
|
Or just get the bat from behind your seat and start fookin swinging ;)
For those none belivers ask CW42 lol |
Whether you are a non-believer or not, always good to be vigilant at all times, when driving around or getting home.
Keep safe. |
I know what you mean Dai if I feel uneasy the locks go and windows a firmly up ;)
|
I heard of something similar happening recently at the Sainsburys car park in Wilmslow in broad daylight. Be careful people.
|
I'm always driving with the doors locked, no matter what car I'm in. Too many idiots about these days.
|
Yep, doors locked on every trip these days, since getting a scoob, always have been. All the more reason to get a proper look at that alarm system I've seen. If you get car jacked, you get out, walk away, and then disable the car from any phone at your disposal. Along with tracker and it's own gps equipment, you'd be hard pressed to lose the car :)

First thing I did was change the alarm settings of the car to lock on start up.
Then due to all the reports of nasty people. I had the Clifford Black Jak fitted in the first week of ownership. You get in with the keys start the engine, off you go!!!:luxhello: 30 Seconds after you press the brake pedal for the first time. The Bj starts to chirp. You now have another 30 secs to imput code or engine will slowly cut out. Also as its chirping the brake lights are flashing to warn anyone up the arse of your car that there is something wrong and they also know that the car in front may be stopping.:eek2: Add to that, as soon as drivers door is opened it re-arms its self also (can be attached to all doors if so wished), so if ripped out of car in anyway or forced. They can drive away from you but the car will not be far due to engine will cut out.:wonder: As the owner you can now phone the police and know your car isnt far.:hjtwofing The way to operate as the true owner is turn on car imput code which is a very descreet pad which is next to intercooler spray switch and away you go.:thumb: Dead simple. :p The unit is incorporated in to the loom so cant be just ripped out by the thief and has a life time guarentee also |
I could ask my mate at Trilogy about a group buy or even a discount for SMACS members if anyone interested. Cant remember how much it cost due to had stereo and B2 taken out of old car and put into this one all at the same time so bill was for complete work.
Worth thinking about. |
Me and my mates all have black jacks much saver, My mate fits alarms with black jacks in his spare time im sure he could do it very cheap if any one interested? My mate said get a quote and he will beat it! :luxhello: :D

If you're interested in a group session, email me and I'll work out a common date/time to arrange the session. My email address is stubs@bulldoghome.com |
Its a cracking peice of kit and I can fully reccomend Trilogy for fitting :thumb: - the only downside is if it backfires on you (because you imput the code wrong) you look like a right muppet stuck in the middle of the road with all your alarms going off (pretty funny really) :brickwall
regards Justin |
I will ask at Trilogy but £120 would be hard to beat I imagine.:notworthy
It is a cracking bit of kit and would recommend to all.:thumb: As for the code, I can do it with my eyes shut now. It also has a valet mode for RR days and servicing etc.:luxhello: Can show any one on Thursday how it works.:p |

aye im interested to see the system in operation too.
|
No probs, anything to help fellow members against the scum.
|
Ive had this in a previous car before (as part of a full clifford system) and it is superb, just ask my girlfried who got caught out in a hospital car park and all the security gaurds thought she was nicking it :)
Martin, if installed separately does it still use the two button input, ie. one for the number and other (star??) button to move to next number?? Mark |
