Lambdalink has power but not working...

Fitted a new lambda sensor last week (MY95 WRX). When the car was started first time the power light came on the lambdalink but I got no activity.

Stopped the car for a minute and when i restarted it the lambdalink worked fine. Put it down to the lambda needing to warm up.

Moved my lambdalink and knocklink to another part of my dash today. Did not cut and join any wires - simply unplugged them, re-routed the cables and plugged them back in.

Now when I start the car i have power to both links but once again i have no lambda link activity. Driven it 5 miles to warm up but still nothing!

Am I missing something obvious? I dont appear to have pulled anything to cause a loose connection.

Could i have pulled a wire out from where it connects into my ecu???

Anyone :wonder:

Get a multimeter and measure the voltage difference at the ecu pin where you have connected and the earth. (ECU fixing screw will do) As per http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co.uk/ ... pre 97 MY tech info/ecu pin out, you will see that it is pin 6 and you should be seeing a constantly changing reading at idle between 0 and 1V ish. (more likely .2 to .7 I think.) Has to be warm!
If all is good here and you are happy with your connections move to the other end. IIRC there is a plug in line to the box itself?? Measure signal here, if all still good then fault is within box itself. I know a lot of Knock links had weak soldering(mine included) but don't know if this was same on LL.

Ritchie.
