why doesnt ctrl C ctrl V work on my laptop?

i now have to physicly click edit copy edit paste but on my other machine i just held the ctrl button down and pressed C or V?

What happens if you do ctrl-C and then right click and paste? Does it work?

Is the ctrl key also a function key and is func lock on?

beefy is a highlight then ctrl c just the letter c appears lol and i loose whats highlighted lol

once ive edit copied something right click paste does work
