SMACS Photo Opportunity Day

CW and myself want to hold a the first official SMACS Photo Opportunity day to allow SMACS member to get some quality photos of their cars, either individually or as a group.

The idea is that members will end up with a photo(s) of their pride&joy that they can keep and cherish.

This will be held sometime in the sunny summer months at a local Cheshire location and will include some moving as well as stationary shots. Members can bring their own camera if they want, but we hope that those with quality photography kit will be willing to take shots of others as required.

We want to guage interest so that we can plan the amount of time etc that this will take. This will be strictly regular members only so that each car gets plenty of shots on the day.

We would also be interested in any type of photo you would like. I will post some up of what I had in mind.

Thanks
Dai

after discussing this with supertouring the other day, I'd have to say NO skoosh, as it's going to be a SMACS only event for now. We'll get Martin to take some good pictures when you come over in March :)

See you soon m8, and don't forget to get your name down for the Peak Tour in April.

chris.

Dai just checked the first post on your thread again. If need be I will be happy to use my equipment/lighting on the day to try and get some cracking shots.
Have you any thoughts on locations yet!!

Cheers Warren

Andy S. 15 February 2006 11:04 PM

Who is this Martin fella or is it a secret?

scoobyverysoon 16 February 2006 12:19 AM

I thought warren would of been 1st choice or did you really get his name wrong chris??? he he ;)

I am looking forward to seeing his pics from the RR day at prosport I just hope we can all fit in the car park

supertouring 16 February 2006 07:17 AM

Yes, CW came up with a very good idea for a location but if you know of any then please let me know by PM or email. Want to keep this off scoobynet.

Note that I was not thinking that this would be something we would be charging anyone for, but if anyone has any overheads or are able to produce high quality prints (for example) then I am sure everyone would be willing to contribute to cover those cost as required.

I am keen to make sure that not every event is a charity event.

Warren, my apologies, I seem to have it stuck in my head at the moment that you are in fact called martin! Of course, when I refer to martin the photographer, I do in fact mean yourself, Warren, sorry for the confusion, not least my own :D

As super says, I've suggested a good location for this, but there's no rush atm, and it might be prudent to even do a dry run one day, to check the location and suitability.

See you all saturday, make sure your cars are nice and clean (andy:D)

supertouring 16 February 2006 08:50 AM
