SMACS to the peak tour April 30th
Always a very well organised event, and guaranteed the best route around the derbyshire countryside. Always a good turnout, and if memory serves, the first time "the chief" and "gillp95" ever came on a drive :)
So, who's up for it? Post on the main thread here: http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/showthread.php?t=492260 and keep our smacs chat on here :D Video cameras are a must on this event, and as your given full navigational instructions, you can do it at your own pace, so familys more than welcome. chris. |
Got my name down my mate sound's good do you know what kind of time and where we would be heading to meet or would the SMACS be meeting at the Unicorn, but were all up for that.:thumb:
|
They usually start from Derby, so it's a long days driving. Usually end up driving very close to our house too, then stopping miles away for lunch :)
No idea of route or times atm though, and marv and paul don't publish details of the route on the web. Start time is usually around the 10am mark though. I'm looking at a convoy over to the meet, or depending on route, a meet halfway round with the lunch stop as our final destination. chris. |
This was my first trip out with the Smacs last year (pre-Scoob) and i can vouch for it. its a long day but well worth it!!!:)

I think Ian is referring to the time I spent a day in a boat, in summer sun, and got the best tan marks from a pair of sunglasses that the world has ever seen! You could see where the arms had been right back into my hairline!
|
I swear to you .... I came into work and saw this massive lobster sat there with beautiful white sunglasses outlines on his face and even in his hair......
comical is not the word!:lol1: |

Finally been in touch with scooby66 who is Paul, one of the pair organising this event. It looks like were driving over to the start early sunday morning first of all, as the nearest the route will come is edale. Although that's not far away for some of us, we'll have missed most of the best bits of road by then :( so I think it'll be worthwhile to go all the way over.
I've no idea on what time we have to be at the start yet, just posted on the main thread about it. It will be an early morning start though, and probably somewhere along the route would be the best place to meet up for a convoy down. chris. |
Come on guys what's going on just had a quick look on the main list for this and i can only see 5 cars from the SMACS going surely there are a few more who want a piece of the action, I'm told it's a brilliant day out one for all the family.
Saying that the groups head off in 5minute intervals and they go in groups of 5 so it may-be a blessing unless any more come.:thumb: |
