My neighbours entering the above event. At the moment he's considering a 24V Probe. I suggested a 325i BMW or a Golt GTI. Any other recommendations or suggestions? Has to be reliable, fun and cost less than a grand...

Hmmm, guess it depends how hard he's willing to look. A Robin Reliant? A Jag sovereign (will get a nice example for a grand!) an old 7 series. An old anything, really, I guess! :D Audi coupe would probably be my vote......

Me and a lad at work were thinking of doing this. We saw the perfect car on autotrader not so long ago.

It was an old 4 door Jag (sovereign I think) painted orange, the rear door handles removed and smoothed and a general lee flag on the roof. We thought it would be great to use after the orange 575LM used in the Gumbball 3000.

I'll see if I can find a pic.
