Not Insured a Car for nearly 2 years
I've been out of the country travelling for a year and have not yet bought a car (as I've had a motorbike), however, I'm about to buy a car again shortly.
I have heard that car insurer's normally give a 2 year period before you lose your NCB's, as I have 6 years I don't really want to lose this! Is the 2 year period true? if so my 2 years is up mid April Thanks James |
Hi - yes 2 years from cancellation of your last policy is the industry norm.

I`ve just renewed my personal car insurance after driving a company car for 2 years & was told that I had a `couple of weeks allowance on the 2yr rule` or I would lose the lot ( 8 yrs NCB !!! ) Mine ran out on 12th Feb & the insurance company I used said I was ok upto the end of Feb so I`ve just gone & splashed out on a WR1 - Well....you only live once & can`t wait to collect it later in the week:) :) !!
