SMACS on the Richard Burns relay May 6/7th
 

THIS WILL BE ON SATURDAY 6TH MAY

We have been invited by the LADS to join their convoy through the north west on this huge event taking place to commemerate Richards life, and raise money for Cancer Research. The overall plan is for regional groups of scooby clubs to drive upto their borders, and hand over cheques of monies raised to the next group, and so on all the way from Lands End to John o Groats. Once there, the money will be handed to the Cancer Research Charity. We need to get a list of names to add to the already massive list of LADS & CADS that are coming through Cheshire & Lancashire. Details of how the event will unfold are still not finalised, so just free up the whole weekend for now :)

Had a word with Bob the Regional officer for the SIDC and the CAD's who is organising the North West Convoy from Sandbach Services to Forton Services

It will cost £5.00 per Car with all proceeds going to Cancer Research, You will recieve 2 stickers one front and one rear to stick on your car. These are to show who is in the convoy so the organisers know and the Police know.

The Poilice have been informed of the intentions of the run. Please note this WILL NOT BE A RACE. It will be driven at an appropriate speed for the road. The idea is to enjoy ourselves and Celibrate Richards life.

There are also Richard Burns Memorial Relay Polo Shirts available, they cost £15.50 each plus post and packing again all proceeds will go to Cancer Research.

I will post some pictures of them later

Please show your support to a very worthy cause.

I will bring a form with me on Thursday and will be taking money then to send to Bob
