Kids car seats for a My96 4 door

All,

Had a nightmare finding a seat for my son (coming up 5) thatwould fit in the Impreza, but it would only fit in the front; My daugheter is going to need one fairly soon. I'm sure Subaru do something for the back at some vast cost, but has anyone found a 18kg+ seat that fits properly in the back - all the ones we tried were too high and the backs her resting on the dead rest. I don't just want a booster as both kids like the trips around the lanes  and so need to be secure.

I have had booster seats for my two (8 & 6) for a couple of years. I don't hang around even when they are in the car, and I have had no problems?

Went to mothercare a few weeks ago and cannot get any to fit.

Don't suppose you can tell me which one you have ?

The ones I have I bought from Halfords. They are very small, and use the normal seatbelt and kids weight to keep them in place.

Think they were 20 quid each?

Think these are the ones, if not v v similar:

I use one of these in my MY98 classic with no problems. My 5 year old fits a treat.

I prefer to use the ones with the backs as the seatbelt comes too high otherwise.

I have a MY96 saloon and have had 2 baby seats in the back of mine. They are my brothers kids so aint got a clue what make seats they are but I know the rear seats raise up a little on the ends whichs makes it a bit of a pain for the seats
