Just collected my new P1 - simply awesome.

Whilst at the showroom, I saw another P1 with additional gauges on the dashboard in place of the storage bin - does anyone have any info on these?

Thanks
Rod

They are a heck lot more useful than the "storage" [sic] bin. Do a search on guages or pod & a wealth of info should turn up.

The pod can be got from your local dealer & the guages from a host of excellent sources.

Problem is, my wife won't let me have one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

HTF do I know http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

This is a pic that Sunil ( P) sent me to wind me up as to what my missus won't let me have in PTMW! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

Guess as to Oil Temp - Oil Pressure - BOOOOST Guage

AS to assist - don't care - look good (like a CF Strutbrace http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif )

Hi guys,
Do you know if you can buy the pod of the guages on its own? or anyone that could make something like it? I've been thinking about putting a GPS in the scoob for a while now - and after a recent trip into london , i think it could be a wise move. I would be looking for the screen to go where the guages are in the pic above, though if need be i know i could take out the vents. It would just be alot easier and look alot better i feel if i could get something like this made up.

Extra dials? No. Use the bin for what is was made for - holding a Bel 990i radar detector.

Do you not have a problem with the wipers being in the way of the sensors with the detector mounted there?
I have been looking for somewhere sensible to put mine, but have yet to find anywhere more appropriate than the top left corner of the windscreen.

Hos,

Give SQ Plus a ring on 0161 748 1600

They kitted out a P1 with full VDO Dayton satnav and made up a pod for the centre binnacle to store the screen. It looks a little upright and isn't exactly subtle for the thieving fraternity but there you go. It was featured in the September issue of redline!

On the SatNav front, Alpine do a unit which fits into the standard stereo cut-out and when the unit is switched on the screen slides out and tilts up.

Great from a security point of view as no-one sees the screen unless the unit is switched on.

Puff,

Well if it looks good (which it does) I might have to get one... http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif re the CF Strut....I think I already have one of those in the P1....do I need to show it off...if so where should I mount it? It seems to fit quite nicely under the bonnet....but maybe it could be placed elsewhere so all could see it??? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Thanks for your comments

I'll be posting a picci soon of my new pod/gauges which I think most of you will like. They didn't cost £750 like Sunil's either!!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif
