Bacon Double XL from BK. Anyone here ever lucky enough to try the super size meals from McD's in the states before they were banned?

pslewis 30 January 2006 08:15 PM

Four 1/4 lb'ers layered within two large buns, 1/2 lettuce and thousand island dressing smothered all over .............. you can't buy these - I make them :D :D

Chippy near me years ago did an ultimate burger - from the bottom up :

Bun, 1/2 pounder, cheese, bacon, 1/2 pounder, cheese, tomato, 1/2 pounder, cheese, bacon, bun.

Plus there was various sauces, onions, pickles etc... in between each layer.

Cost £3.50 but did make you feel sick for a good few hours afterwards.

The Burger van down Maidstone bridge in the 90's used to do a burger called the 'wobbler'. ;)

Ill let you make your own minds up.

Philip Attaway 30 January 2006 08:50 PM

I'm an ex Maidstone boy and I remember the 'wobbler'! :D

cookstar 30 January 2006 09:03 PM

I have just friggin gone past there.

And i was hungry

WTF is going on

Clarebabes 30 January 2006 09:03 PM

Buddy's American Diner chain in Northampton do the best burgers, and they're proper steak burgers, not lips and ass holes.....

If you're ever hungry around junction 15a of the M1, I would suggest a detour towards Sixfields. If you hit a BP garage, you've gone too far.

They've branched out to ex-Little Chef's round our way. There's also one on the A43 around Towcester. I recommend it. You won't regret it.

XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger from BK for me too.... :thumb:

'Double Double' from In and Out. I'd recommend the 4X4 if you're a gluton, it's a part of the extensive secret menu.

Markus 30 January 2006 10:44 PM

Jack Astors - Smokey Jack's Burger, with onion rings, lovely.

Hardee's - 2/3-Lb Double Bacon Cheese Thickburger, mmmmm *drool*

Jack In the Box - Bacon Ultimate Cheeseburger, just fine and dandy.

Camden Road Charcoal Grill's 1/2 pound cheesburger, now that is fantastic :)
