cam belt (which service interval)
I'm looking at a bug eye 2000 impreza. Its for sale in New Zealand where i am moving in 2 weeks time. The car has done 40,000 mile (about 60,000 km) and the owner says it isnt due the cambelt till its covered 120,000 km. Is this correct ?
Also the car has a boost controller. He has been running it between 1.1 and 1.3. What is the standard setting ? Thanks guys. Ben |

cambelt should be changed at 50,000 mile service on a MY01 Bugeye (or five years (whichever comes sooner). Must be equal to circa 76,000-80,000 km interval service. Get it done on time to be on the safe side.

50k or 5 years. Mine's due the service after next as mine's in for it's 40k service next Saturday. :( |
I know that this does vary, but my '01 WRX handbook says 4 years or 60k not 5 years, did mine at 4 to be on the safe side ;)
