Defi Gauge Sensors

I have just been ripped off in a ebay deal for a set of defi gauges that turned up with no sensors. Turns out the sensors are almost as much as the gauges so am reluctent to pay for new ones. I have done some investigation and it turns out that the sensors are manufactured by Nippon-Seiki japan who also make most of the sensors for Hondas.
Does anyone know if I were to get a honda oil pressure, oil temp and water temp OE sensor would they work with the defi gauges ?

Unlikly mate sensors work either as NTC or PTC type. Which means that NTC (negative temp coefficant) sensors work in that when temp rises reistance drops/easier path to earth gauge reads hire. (posative other way around).

Problem being is that if DEFI at 20 oC may have resistance of 150kohm, Honda one may have resistance of 180kohm so would read all wrong. Besides this DEFI self checks sensors for short or open circuit on start up, and if sensor out of parameters will flag fault.

Also boost sensor is a (map type) frequency based sensor the chances of this being the same are very unlikly.

Also if you dont have sensors you probly dont have wires which means you wont have little conectors on end to daisy chain etc.

Sorry for bad news, Jase.

thanks Jase

Though it would be too easy.:(
