hi there
greart day at star performance today. load of good motors. i would like to thanks John philips for arranging the day.

ok i think we should post all the results and the pics or what ever you guys have on this thread until a website is arranged as i think this will take a while, by the looks of things. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

so here is my results
power at the wheels 229.5bhp
power at the flywheel 323
torque 312

i think the power at the fly wheel should be around 318bhp actually according to the chart i looked at over there for heat compensation. but this is a different story all together http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

at the end of the day these results mean F**k all on their own, without the rest of the results to compare

cheers

Sam I have to agree, a good day all round. Some serious machinery from Scoobs to the 500bhp Skyline http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Also a big thank you to the guys at Star for the amount of cars they got thru'. I thought we were on for an AVA moment when your car went on the rollers, but all credit to Jim who fixed the equipment in time for the rest of the team to finish.

Also good to put names to faces that are not already known, or should I say worn http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/tongue.gif

See you all soon and maybe I'll get to play the next time.

Doug, that was a novel way of getting more air into you intercooler, parking on top of the fan http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Just to echo Sams vote of thanks.

Had to rush away at the after my car was on the rollers due to work stuff..

Sam your car is truely amazing http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif.

My car will be visiting a garage very shortly and then will be going back to Star to see if the strange dip has gone.

thanks willie http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif it is good but that is because it had a lot done compared to the rest of you guys. were you the one with the ppp sliver car ? so what figures did you get

sam

WillieF 12 August 2001 08:48 PM

Yes it was the PPP'd silver car. Don't have the paper to hand but it wasn't as impressive as I hoped....

Will post tomorrow.

John
Like the technique then? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Seems to work managed 240 bhp (149bhp @ wheel) and 250 lbft torque
no bad fur a UK with just KN induction; Magnex decat center and backbox
better than the first run of the day when I broke the RR http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

John,

Thanks for inviting us along to "spectate" It was the first rolling road event I've been to and it's pretty cool to be amongst all that amazing hardware.

We drove home via Calder Motors to see what they had lying about so to speak http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

Just out of curiousity, how fast can you make a soarer go http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

LOADS of pics from the day are up on the SS-R site if anyone's interested.

Cheers, Dave.
