This is to gauge how many people would be up for a japanese 4wd rolling road shootout for banzai magazine as they want to know by the end of the week.
The Venue is to be AVA in Glasgow on Saturday the 9th of June. All 4wd japanese machinary is welcome and you'll get a chance to get your mugs in a mag! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
The 4wd rollers are new with features that no rolling road in the country has including and an extraction system that is unreal so lots of cold air for your power and much more comparable runs than other places. Also no risk of getting gassed to death if you are there to enjoy the whole day. They also incorporate the larger 20inch rollers making traction no bother to the super high powered cars and the mag is working to get some very special machinary there that would not usually be able to be run up. They never even sweated when faced with mikes 400bhp@ wheels 2wd, no people needed in the back etc http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Also could you direct me to any other boards that may be interested such as Evos,gtiRs,GT4s and skylines etc.....

Cheers for the help

Martin

Sorry - forgot to put - dont know arrangements with costs as we have not found out if it is all going ahead -, first we need the numbers.
Will probably be £25/30 a car but if the magazine contributes the cost will be less/nothing. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Cheers
Martin

Put me down as a hopeful, car back in the dealers next Tuesday, if they can do something to solve the old lack of power situation then I'll be along with my std MY00.

Yes I am most certainly up for this. I have a UNI-chipped WRX and am very keen. The problem is that I am going on holiday that afternoon and would appreciate an early morning slot if that is available.

Numbers look like they could well be getting huge, I for one will be coming along, with mates, in motors ranging from Skylines, R33 GTR *2 ,R33 GTS, R34 GTR, Toyota Supra, RX7 *2 and Scoobys *2. There is also a lot of interest on the GTR register with talk of a 3.0 GTR running 800 ponies coming up for the day, and a Greer sport tuned 650 bhp R32, and possiby the HYPER LEMON if anyone can get a hold of Dave Jones.

JasonO 09 June 2001 08:09 PM

Looking forward to the Dyno action next weekend.

Anybody travelling from North Ayrshire who would like to meet up for a cruise over to Renfrew, I propose an 8am meetup in the Safeways car-park just off the A78 between Kilwinning and Stevenston.

The Shell garage just along the road from there sells SuperUL, which may be a good fill up point for any long distance runners.

There has been so much interest and people putting up reservations that no bookings are really being took. Never know how many people will actually show on the day so it is hard to judge but the more the merrier for the whole day as it should be top class http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Hope for a big variety in cars and to show the mag just how serious the scottish scene is as its always english events all over the mags http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

lets make it a good one http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

stage 1 10 June 2001 05:49 PM

I have a list of people that gave their names when I first asked interest. If they make it early then they will get on but if you get their early you may/should get a place - I dont work their etc so dont know the exact format - might be first come first serve as our RS shootout was. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Hopefully good cars/weather will make a good day and I'm very interested to see what mods add up. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
